Raging Fighter is one of those early Game Boy fighting games that feels a little rough around the edges, but there's something oddly charming about it. You've got your usual lineup of fighters—karate guys, ninjas, the obligatory big brute—and the controls are simple enough: punch, kick, jump. No fancy combos here, just basic brawling.
What surprised me was how fast it plays for a Game Boy title. Matches are quick, and the AI doesn't mess around—you'll eat a few cheap hits at first until you figure out the timing. The sprites are tiny, obviously, but they’ve got personality, especially when they do their little victory poses. Not exactly Street Fighter II, but it’s a decent time-killer if you’re into retro fighters.
Just don’t expect a deep roster or flashy special moves. This is pure, stripped-down arcade-style fighting from the early handheld days.
