Qix Adventure is this weird little Game Boy Color gem that never left Japan—which is a shame, because it takes the classic Qix formula (you know, drawing lines to claim territory while dodging enemies) and actually gives it some structure. Instead of just endless abstract stages, there’s a full adventure mode with towns, NPCs, and even light RPG elements.
You start off in this tiny village where some old guy gives you vague hints, then you’re thrown into the usual Qix gameplay—except now the stages feel like actual locations. Forests, caves, that sort of thing. The enemies get nastier too, with some that actively chase your cursor instead of just drifting around. It’s still Qix at heart, but with just enough extra flavor to make it feel fresh.
Honestly, it’s the closest thing to a "Qix RPG" we’ll probably ever get.
