Prince of Persia on the Game Boy is the portable version of Jordan Mechner's classic—same tense platforming, same sword fights, same ticking clock before the princess is doomed. You’ve got an hour to escape the dungeon, and every jump feels risky because one wrong move means splatting on the spikes below. The animation still holds up, too—those smooth flips and sword swings were mind-blowing back then.
It’s stripped down from the PC original, but the core is all there: dodging guards, chugging health potions, and that satisfying *clang* when blades clash. Just don’t expect forgiving controls—this is old-school "learn by dying" design. The Game Boy’s tiny screen makes some jumps harder to judge, but hey, that’s part of the charm.
If you’ve only played the later 3D games, this is where it all started—no fancy parkour, just pure precision and sweaty palms.
