Pradikus Conflict is one of those NES space shooters that feels like Asteroids but with way more going on. You start off as this rookie pilot thrown into a mess—some war-hungry tribes from P'radikus stole a ship and decided to wreck the whole solar system. Your job? Blow up their home planet with this doomsday weapon called Thunderbolt. Sounds simple, but good luck getting there.

At first, you're just zipping around in this clunky little ship, picking off enemy fighters for credits. The controls take a second to get used to—you drift like in Asteroids, so braking is basically a suggestion. Spend your credits on upgrades, though, and suddenly you're slinging shockwaves and cloaking past patrols. The missions start easy—take out a base here, rescue some aliens there—but fuel burns fast, so you're always hunting for a pit stop between fights.

Weirdly, the most stressful part isn’t the combat—it’s watching your fuel gauge tick down while you debate whether to risk a detour for missiles. The real goal is tracking down the Toson Drive, this mythical warp thing that’ll finally let you reach P'radikus. Good luck not getting distracted by all the shiny weapons first. Atomic cannons are hard to say no to.
