Pokemon Stadium Game

Pokémon Stadium on SNES is one of those games that makes you wish you had a time machine—not just to relive the nostalgia, but to actually figure out how the heck you're supposed to win some of these battles. You pick your team from the first-gen roster (good luck not just defaulting to Charizard), then jump into turn-based fights where timing and type matchups actually matter. The sprites are chunky in that classic 16-bit way, and the announcer’s voice clips somehow make losing feel dramatic.
It’s not just straight battles, either—there’s a weirdly addictive mini-game mode where you’re mashing buttons to make Pikachu surf or Ekans jump ropes. The whole thing feels like a love letter to competitive Pokémon before online play was even a thing. Just don’t blame me when you lose to a level 5 Metapod that somehow outlasts your entire team.
