Wait, Pokémon Gold and Silver on SNES? That’s not right—these were Game Boy Color classics, not Super Nintendo. Maybe someone’s made a demake or ROM hack, but the real deal was all about that portable nostalgia. Wandering through Johto with Chikorita or Cyndaquil, stumbling into the post-game Kanto surprise, battling Red on Mt. Silver… that stuff hit different on a tiny screen.
If this is some kind of fan remake, though, I’d be curious how they handled the day/night cycle or the Pokégear. Original hardware purists might side-eye it, but hey, more ways to play is never a bad thing.
