Pokemon Darkness Game

Pokémon Darkness is one of those weird, unofficial SNES hacks that somehow feels both janky and weirdly charming. You start off in a darker version of Kanto where the Pokémon sprites are all messed up—some look like glitched-out nightmares, others are just... wrong in a funny way. The battles are still turn-based, but the AI makes some bizarre choices, like a Pidgey spamming Sand Attack six times in a row.
It’s definitely not polished, but there’s something oddly fun about stumbling through a world where nothing behaves the way it should. The dialogue’s been edited too, so NPCs say random nonsense or straight-up curse at you. If you’re into weird ROM hacks that feel like they were made at 3 AM by someone who’d had too much caffeine, this might be worth a laugh.
