Pocket Smash Out (europe) (unl) Game

Pocket Smash Out is one of those weird little GBC sports games that somehow ended up being way more fun than it had any right to be. It's basically a stripped-down tennis/pong hybrid where you control a paddle and try to smash the ball past your opponent—except the physics are juiced up just enough to make every hit feel satisfying.
First thing you'll notice? The controls are stupid simple (d-pad to move, one button to hit), but the ball starts doing these wild ricochets off the walls almost immediately. Matches get chaotic fast, especially in the later stages where the AI actually puts up a fight. I remember getting wrecked by the third opponent until I figured out you could angle shots by holding directions mid-swing.
It's definitely barebones—no fancy power-ups or career mode—but there's something weirdly addictive about the back-and-forth. The chunky GBC sound effects when you nail a perfect shot still live in my head rent-free. If you're into quick, no-frills arcade sports games, this one's a solid time-killer.
