Phantom Zona is one of those weird little Game Boy Color gems that never made it outside Japan. It's got this eerie, almost cyberpunk vibe—you're basically a hacker diving into digital networks to fight rogue AI. The pixel art is surprisingly moody for a GBC game, all neon grids and glitchy enemies.

First few minutes? You're thrown into this abstract grid world with a tiny cursor as your avatar, blipping around like something out of Tron. The controls take a second to click (literally—lots of menu combos), but once you get the rhythm of hacking nodes and dodging firewalls, it feels oddly satisfying. Music’s a banger too—all crunchy synth beats that shouldn’t work on a GBC but totally do.

Definitely not for everyone, but if you’re into retro oddities with a weird atmosphere, it’s worth a look.
