PGA Tour Golf II on the Genesis is one of those old-school golf games that somehow still holds up. The swing mechanics are simple—hold the button for power, release for accuracy—but nailing the timing takes practice. You start with a basic set of clubs and a few courses, but the real challenge is reading the wind and adjusting for elevation changes. The greens feel a little unforgiving at first, but once you get the hang of it, sinking a long putt is weirdly satisfying.
Graphics are what you’d expect from a 16-bit golf sim—clean, if a bit blocky—but the physics actually make sense. Played this a ton back in the day, and it still has that "just one more round" pull. If you’re into retro sports games, this one’s a solid pick.
