PGA Tour Golf III on the Genesis was way ahead of its time for golf sims. The swing mechanics actually feel like you're controlling power and accuracy—not just mashing buttons. First time I played, I completely whiffed a drive because I didn't realize you had to time the backswing.
What's cool is how the greens behave differently depending on weather conditions. That slight downhill putt? Better tap it gently or watch the ball roll right off. The courses look simple by today's standards, but the elevation changes and hazards make you actually think about club selection.
Still holds up if you're into methodical sports games. Just don't expect flashy animations—this is pure golf, down to the frustrating sand traps.
