Osomatsu-kun on NES is one of those weird, charming Japan-only releases that never made it overseas. It's based on an old-school anime about six identical troublemaker brothers, and the game plays like a chaotic mix of platforming and mini-games. You'll jump between rooftops, get into slapstick fights with random enemies (including a dude who throws literal fish at you), and occasionally play bizarre bonus rounds like a memory matching game with the brothers' faces.
The controls are a little stiff by today's standards, but there's something oddly satisfying about the way the Matsuno brothers slide around when they run. Just don't expect a deep story—half the dialogue is untranslated, so you're mostly here for the goofy pixel art and unpredictable level design. If you've ever wanted to play as a gang of identical gremlins causing mayhem in 8-bit Japan, this is your chance.
