Ever played a game where you're literally a sentient blob of goo out for revenge? That's Ooze in a nutshell. You play as Dr. Caine, a scientist who got turned into this weird, squishy monster by his ex-colleagues—and now you're slithering through labs and sewers, absorbing enemies and solving puzzles to get your human body back.
The controls take a second to get used to—you stretch and retract like living taffy, which feels awkward at first but kinda satisfying once you get the hang of it. The levels are packed with traps, switches, and enemies that force you to think like, well, a puddle of sentient ooze. Some rooms had me stuck for way too long, but that "aha!" moment when you finally figure out how to ooze your way through? Worth it.
It's got that classic Genesis vibe—moody, a little janky, but full of weird charm. Just don't expect it to hold your hand.
