This one's a hidden gem if you're into old-school racing games—Nakajima Satoru's F-1 Hero was Japan-only, which is a shame because it's got this cool split-screen setup. The top half shows the whole track like a mini-map, so you can actually plan your overtakes instead of just reacting blindly. The handling's a bit stiff at first (it is an NES game), but once you get used to sliding through corners, it feels surprisingly tactical for something this old.
No English text, but honestly, you don't need it—just pick a car and go. The tracks have these little elevation changes that the spritework somehow makes obvious despite the limitations. I kept crashing into walls for the first few laps until I realized braking early is way more important than flooring it everywhere. Definitely one of those "easy to play, tough to master" racers.
