Mortal Kombat V Game

Mortal Kombat V on the Genesis is that perfect mix of nostalgia and brutal, janky fun. The pixelated blood splatters, the digitized fighter sprites—it all feels gloriously '90s. You pick your warrior (Scorpion, obviously), mash some buttons to figure out their moves, and suddenly you're accidentally uppercutting someone into the pit. Classic.
The fatalities are hilariously stiff by today’s standards, but back then? Pure shock value. Sub-Ze ro’s spine rip still makes me wince. The AI cheats like crazy on higher difficulties, but that just means you’ll spend way too long trying to cheese the computer with Raiden’s teleport punch. Worth it.
It’s not the smoothest fighter out there, but the charm is in the rough edges. You can practically hear the arcade cabinet humming in the background. If you’ve got a Genesis collecting dust, this one’s a no-brainer.
