Moai Kun is one of those weird little Konami gems that never made it overseas—which is a shame, because it’s a solid puzzle-platformer with a goofy charm. You control this tiny Moai statue (yeah, like the Easter Island heads) that can toss its own head to solve puzzles and knock out enemies. The first few levels ease you in, but then it gets surprisingly tricky—figuring out how to bounce your head just right to hit switches or clear gaps is way more satisfying than it sounds.
What really stands out is how different each stage feels. One minute you’re stacking blocks to climb higher, the next you’re timing throws to avoid spikes or using your head as a makeshift platform. The music’s got that classic NES Konami energy too—peppy and slightly chaotic. If you dig quirky retro games with actual challenge, this one’s worth digging up.
