Micro Machines on NES is where it all started—tiny cars, wild tracks, and that weirdly satisfying feeling of racing across a pool table or dodging garden gnomes. The top-down view makes it feel like you're playing with actual toy cars, and the tracks are just ridiculous in the best way. One second you're weaving between soda cans, the next you're trying not to spin out on a breakfast table covered in syrup. It's simple but surprisingly tense, especially when you barely squeeze past an opponent at the last second. The controls take a second to click, but once they do, it's pure chaotic fun.
Honestly, it's one of those games where you'll restart a race five times just to nail that perfect lap. The NES version doesn't have all the bells and whistles of later entries, but there's something charming about its no-frills approach. If you like racing games with personality, this one's a classic.
