Metal Mech on NES is one of those games where you're constantly hopping in and out of your mech—kind of like ED-209 from RoboCop, but way more janky. The mech itself is a tank, literally, but good luck squeezing it into tight spaces or climbing ladders. Half the time, you're better off on foot, dodging bullets while your clunky metal suit lumbers behind you.
Enemies pop up everywhere, and the levels feel unpredictable—sometimes you get swarmed, other times it's weirdly quiet. The power-ups are hidden in breakable stuff, so you end up smashing everything just in case. It's not the smoothest shooter out there, but there's something satisfying about blasting through waves of enemies with that chunky NES firepower.
Just don't expect to stay in your mech the whole time—you'll be crawling through vents and scrambling up ladders more than you think.
