Okay, so Little Mermaid II: Pinball Frenzy is exactly what it sounds like—Disney’s underwater world turned into a pinball game for the Game Boy Color. You get two tables, one based on Ariel’s kingdom and another with Melody’s adventures, and honestly, they’re pretty solid for a handheld pinball game. The physics are simple but satisfying, and there’s just enough Disney charm (think seashell bumpers, Ursula’s tentacles as flippers) to keep it from feeling generic.
First few minutes in, you’ll notice the music—it’s got those familiar Little Mermaid melodies, but chiptune-style, which is kind of a fun throwback. The ball moves a little slower than you’d expect, but that actually works in its favor on the tiny screen. No crazy depth here, just straightforward pinball with a splash of Disney nostalgia. If you’ve got a soft spot for either, it’s a decent little time-waster.
