Lazlos' Leap Game

Lazlo's Leap is one of those Game Boy platformers that just feels right—no frills, no gimmicks, just tight jumps and pixel-perfect landings. You start off with Lazlo (some little dude in a red cap) running through these blocky levels, and within minutes you're already sweating over spike pits and weird floating eyeball enemies. The controls are stupidly simple—just run and jump—but the level design makes you actually think about timing.
What surprised me was how much personality it has for something so minimal. The music’s got that classic bleep-bloop energy, and Lazlo does this little fist-pump when you clear a stage. It’s the kind of game where you’ll fail the same jump five times and still mutter “one more try” before realizing it’s been an hour. If you’ve got a soft spot for games that punish you just enough to feel satisfying, this one’s a no-brainer.
Also, pro tip: Hold the jump button a fraction longer than you think you need to. Trust me.
