Krusty’s Super Funhouse is one of those weird, oddly satisfying puzzle-platformers that somehow got the Simpsons license slapped on it. You play as Krusty (yes, the clown) trying to clear out rats from his funhouse by pushing blocks, flipping switches, and occasionally getting flattened by giant hammers—classic Simpsons logic.
The first few levels ease you in with simple block puzzles, but don’t get too comfy. Soon you’re timing conveyor belts, dodging bouncing springs, and herding rats into traps while the game’s janky physics keep things unpredictable. The pixel art nails that early ‘90s Simpsons look, complete with Krusty’s manic grin and some surprisingly detailed backgrounds for a Genesis game.
It’s not the hardest puzzler out there, but there’s something weirdly charming about the whole thing—like a B-tier Simpsons episode turned into a game. If you’re into retro oddities or just want to see Krusty fail spectacularly, it’s worth a play.
