Kiwi Kraze is one of those weird, charming NES platformers that somehow makes running around as a kiwi bird feel both ridiculous and kind of awesome. You hop between floating islands, dodging snakes and weird fruit-throwing enemies while collecting... well, more fruit. The controls take a second to get used to—your kiwi has this floaty jump that feels off at first, but once you get the rhythm down, bouncing between platforms gets satisfying.
It’s got that classic NES difficulty where you’ll probably die a bunch early on, but the levels are short enough that retrying doesn’t feel punishing. And the music? Weirdly catchy in that 8-bit way. Just don’t expect a deep story—you’re a kiwi. You collect fruit. That’s pretty much it.
Controls: Arrow keys to move, Z to jump (A-button), X to shoot (B-button). Space for pause, Enter to start. Takes about five minutes to stop accidentally hitting the wrong keys.
