Kawasaki Superbike Challenge is one of those early 90s racing games that somehow nails the feeling of speed despite the Genesis' limitations. You pick from a few Kawasaki bikes—the Ninja ZX-7 feels like the sweet spot between speed and control—then blast through twisty tracks with this weirdly satisfying sense of momentum.
The AI riders actually put up a fight, especially on the later circuits where they’ll shove you into corners if you’re not careful. Graphics are simple but effective: your bike leans into turns, sparks fly if you scrape the pavement, and the digitized engine noises are just crunchy enough to feel real. It’s not a sim by any means, but there’s something addictive about shaving milliseconds off your lap times.
Fun detail: the "challenge" mode lets you race against a ghost version of your best lap, which was pretty ahead of its time for 1993. Just don’t expect Gran Turismo-level depth—this is pure arcade racing with a side of nostalgia.
