This one's a weird little Game Boy Color gem—officially called "Hugo - Black Diamond Fever," but for some reason, the box just says "Hugo." Classic 90s localization quirk. You play as this gnome dude (Hugo, obviously) chasing after stolen diamonds through mines, caves, and all sorts of precarious platforms. The controls take a second to get used to—jumping feels a bit floaty at first—but once you adjust, it's got that satisfying "one more try" energy when you barely miss a ledge. The European version's got a bunch of language options, which is cool if you want to practice your German between deaths. Honestly, it's not the deepest platformer out there, but there's something charming about its janky little world.
