Hudson's Adventure Island III is one of those NES platformers that starts with a classic setup—your girlfriend gets snatched by a UFO, and suddenly you're running through jungles and caves with a bunch of dinosaurs backing you up. It's got that weird, early '90s charm where everything feels just a little offbeat, like why are there dinosaurs here? But hey, they help, so roll with it.

The gameplay's faster than the first two games, and you can actually hold onto weapons now instead of losing them after one hit.
