Hero Hero Kun (japan) Game

Hero Hero Kun is one of those weird little Game Boy Color gems that never made it outside Japan. It's a puzzle-platformer where you play as this tiny, round-faced hero who can switch between two forms—normal and "superhero" mode—to solve stages. The superhero version can jump higher and smash blocks, but you're stuck in that form for a few seconds, so timing matters way more than you'd think at first.
The levels start simple but get devious fast, with spikes, moving platforms, and enemies that force you to plan your transformations carefully. The art's got that classic late-90s GBC charm—bright colors, chunky sprites, and this weirdly catchy soundtrack that somehow makes pushing blocks around feel epic. If you're into obscure retro stuff or just want a puzzle game that doesn't hold your hand, it's surprisingly satisfying once you get the hang of it.
Also, yes, the main character looks like someone inflated a turnip and drew a face on it. You get used to it.
