About Greendog - The Beached Surfer Dude ! (usa, Europe)
Greendog came out for the Sega Genesis in 1992, published by Sega. It was part of that wave of early 90s platformers where developers were trying out all sorts of characters and settings. You play as this laid back surfer who gets stranded on a tropical island after a shipwreck.
You control Greendog himself, navigating through levels screen by screen. The main goal is to collect pieces of a magical Aztec medallion to break a curse placed on you. Your primary tool is a boomerang-like frisbee for stunning enemies, and you spend a lot of time jumping between platforms and searching for hidden items. The pacing is generally relaxed, though some jumps require precise timing. It feels like a straightforward, slightly quirky adventure from that era.
