Fatal Labyrinth is one of those old-school dungeon crawlers where you never quite know what you're walking into—literally. Every floor's layout changes when you start a new game, so memorizing paths won't save you. You just grab whatever gear you find (hope for a decent sword early) and pray the next room isn't full of ghosts that drain your stats.
The combat's simple—bump into enemies to attack—but the real tension comes from managing your limited inventory. Do you keep that extra healing herb or gamble on finding better armor? And don't get too comfortable when you level up—death is permanent, and the dungeon loves throwing curveballs. One minute you're stomping slimes, the next you're running from a dragon in a hallway.
It's janky in that classic Genesis way, but there's something weirdly satisfying about its no-frills brutality. You either escape the labyrinth or die trying—no hand-holding here. Just bring patience and a backup controller in case of rage-quits.
