Fantastic Dizzy is one of those weirdly charming platformers where you play as an egg—yes, an actual egg—with arms and legs, bouncing around solving puzzles. The first thing you’ll notice is how bright and cheerful everything looks, like a cartoon world where even the traps seem kinda friendly (until they knock you into a pit, anyway).
It’s not just jumping and dodging, though. You’ll be pushing blocks, picking up random objects (why does an egg need a key?), and figuring out how to use them in ways that aren’t always obvious. Some of the puzzles had me stumped for way too long, but that "aha!" moment when you finally get it? So satisfying.
The music’s got that classic Sega Genesis bouncy vibe, and the controls are simple—just don’t expect Dizzy to move like Sonic. He’s an egg, after all. If you’re into retro games that mix platforming with actual brainwork, this one’s a solid pick.
