Extra Bases Game

Extra Bases on Game Boy is one of those simple-but-weirdly-addictive baseball games that somehow feels better than it has any right to. The controls are basic—just swing, pitch, and run—but there's something about the chunky pixel players and that satisfying crack when you nail a hit that makes it weirdly replayable.
First thing you'll notice? The fielders move like they're stuck in molasses, which means you can actually steal bases without superhuman reflexes. And the pitching? No fancy curveballs here—just fast or slow, which somehow makes every strikeout feel earned. I spent way too many bus rides as a kid trying to beat my own high score with the default team (their shortstop is secretly OP).
It's janky, the colors bleed together, and the crowd noise sounds like a broken fax machine—but that's half the charm. You either get it or you don't. Still holds up if you're into that old-school handheld sports vibe.
