Earthworm Jim on SNES is one of those games that just oozes personality—literally, since you're playing as a worm in a robotic suit. Right from the start, you're blasting weirdo enemies with a plasma gun, swinging from your own head like a grappling hook, and bouncing cows off screen. The whole thing feels like a Saturday morning cartoon gone delightfully unhinged.
The levels are ridiculous in the best way—one minute you're dodging fish in a giant hamster ball underwater, the next you're racing against a blind salamander in zero gravity. And that soundtrack? Still stuck in my head after all these years. It’s tough as nails in spots (looking at you, Tube Race level), but the sheer creativity makes you want to push through.
If you missed this one back in the day, it’s basically the SNES at its weirdest and most charming. Just don’t blame me when you start humming "Groovy!" after every jump.
