Dyna Brothers is one of those weird, charming Genesis games that never made it outside Japan—which is a shame, because it’s got this weirdly addictive mix of action and puzzle-solving. You control these two little dinosaur brothers (one’s red, one’s blue, because of course they are) who bounce around smashing blocks and collecting fruit while avoiding enemies. The physics feel a little janky at first, but once you get the hang of their weight and momentum, it’s oddly satisfying to chain jumps together.
The levels are short but packed with secrets—hidden warp zones, bonus stages, even alternate exits that change how the next stage loads. And the music? Pure early ‘90s Sega cheese, in the best way. It’s not the deepest game, but there’s something about the way it throws just enough chaos at you to keep things interesting without feeling unfair. If you’re into obscure retro platformers, this one’s a hidden gem.
