Devil World is one of those weird early NES games that feels like a fever dream—you play as a little dragon dude trying to collect crosses while the screen literally shifts and rotates around you. The controls are simple (just move and breathe fire), but the maze keeps changing shape, and this creepy devil face at the top messes with everything by blowing wind or flipping the map upside down.
It’s chaotic in the best way, like if Pac-Man had an identity crisis and got possessed. The first time I played, I got stuck in a corner for a solid minute because the walls kept moving. Also, fun fact: this was one of the few Miyamoto-designed games that never made it to the US back in the day. Definitely worth a few rounds if you like old-school weirdness.
Controls: Arrow keys to move, Z to shoot fire, Enter to start. Don’t overthink it—just try not to get squished.
