Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced on GBA is basically classic Crash in your pocket—same goofy energy, same ridiculous spin attacks, just shrunk down for the tiny screen. You start off bouncing on crates (obviously) and dodging those weird lizard guys, but pretty quick you're sliding down vines and getting chased by boulders like the good old days.
The controls feel surprisingly solid for a handheld port—no awkward jumps or weird hitboxes. And yeah, the graphics are obviously simpler than the PS1 games, but they nailed the cartoony vibe. Some of the later levels get brutal though, especially when you're trying to grab all the gems without dying. That one ice cave stage still haunts me.
If you've played any Crash game before, you know exactly what you're getting here: silly characters, way too many crates to smash, and that weird mix of fun and frustration when you miss a jump for the tenth time. It's a solid little platformer that doesn't overcomplicate things.
