Contra Force is one of those weird spin-offs in the Contra series—it ditches the alien-blasting for a more tactical, squad-based approach. You pick from four operatives, each with their own weapons and quirks, and swap between them mid-mission. The controls take a second to get used to (Z for jump, X for shoot—classic NES setup), but once you’re in, it’s pure run-and-gun chaos with a twist.
It’s not as polished as Contra III, but there’s something fun about juggling characters when things get hectic. Just don’t expect the same breakneck pace—this one makes you think a little more before charging in. The music’s still killer, though.
