Carmageddon on Game Boy Color? Yeah, it's a thing—somehow they crammed all that vehicular mayhem into a tiny cartridge. You still get the same chaotic energy: smash into pedestrians (who turn into floating skulls, because 8-bit gore), wreck other cars, and generally cause havoc in bite-sized top-down levels. The controls take a second to get used to—steering feels a little stiff at first—but once you start plowing through crowds, it clicks.
Don’t expect the same depth as the PC version, obviously. The tracks are simpler, and the physics are… well, it’s a GBC game. But there’s something weirdly satisfying about the chunky pixel explosions and the way your car degrades into a crumpled mess after too many crashes. If you’re into retro ports that shouldn’t work but kinda do, this one’s a trip.
