Bubba 'n' Stix is one of those weird little Genesis gems that sticks with you—mostly because of how bizarrely fun it is to fling a sentient stick around. You play as Bubba, this dopey-looking alien, and Stix, his… well, stick. The twist? Stix isn’t just a weapon; you can throw him to create bridges, ladders, or just smack enemies in the face. It’s way more satisfying than it sounds.

The first level throws you right into it—you’ll be hopping between platforms, dodging weird critters, and figuring out how to use Stix to reach hidden areas. The puzzles start simple (stand here, throw Stix there), but before long, you’re timing throws mid-jump or using him to block traps. The art’s got that early ‘90s charm—bright, cartoony, and just a little janky in the best way.

Honestly, it’s the kind of game where you’ll fail a jump five times in a row and still laugh because Stix just went flying off-screen like a twig in a tornado. If you dig platformers with a twist (and a stick), this one’s a blast.
