Boxxle is one of those Game Boy puzzle games that looks simple at first—just push boxes onto marked spots, right? Then you hit level 10 and realize you’ve been gently lured into a trap. Suddenly, every move matters, and one wrong push can leave you stuck resetting the whole stage.
The early ‘90s charm is still there: no frills, no tutorials, just you and a grid full of crates that somehow keep getting harder to wrangle. I lost track of time more than once trying to nudge them into place without boxing myself into a corner. And yeah, there are over 100 levels, but good luck breezing through them—some of those later puzzles feel like they were designed by a slightly sadistic warehouse manager.
If you like Sokoban-style games where the solution is always *just* out of reach until it clicks, this one’s a no-brainer. Just don’t blame me when you’re still playing at 2 AM.
