Bomberman II on NES is one of those sequels that actually gets it right. The first game was fun but kinda rough—this one smooths out the edges with better explosions, cleaner sprites, and way more personality in the levels. You still plant bombs to clear paths and take out enemies, but now there’s more going on—weird little obstacles, smarter AI, and some stages that actually make you stop and think for a second.
It’s definitely easier than the original, but not in a bad way. More like they figured out how to make the chaos feel fair. And yeah, the new scenarios help—some of them have this almost puzzle-like vibe where you’re timing explosions just right to open up the map. Still holds up as one of the best classic Bomberman games, honestly.
