About Bomberman 2
I remember picking up Bomberman 2 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1993. Hudson Soft released it, and it felt like a natural part of the SNES library at the time, a straightforward sequel that built on what the first game established without trying to reinvent everything.
You control the round, white Bomberman, navigating through screen by screen levels to defeat all the enemies and find the exit. Your main tools are the bombs you place, which explode after a short timer, clearing soft blocks and damaging foes. The game introduces color coded bomb blasts, which affect different types of blocks, and you collect power ups to increase your bomb count, blast radius, and movement speed. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as enemy patterns and level layouts become more complex. It feels satisfying to plan a path through the chaos and watch a chain of explosions clear the way.
