Bomberman 2 on SNES feels like coming home—if home was a maze full of bombs and weird little enemies. Yeah, it’s basically more of the first game, but that’s not a bad thing. The new levels mix things up just enough, and the color-coded explosions actually help when you’re frantically dodging your own blasts (or your friend’s, if you’re playing multiplayer).
Power-ups are still the best part—grabbing that extra bomb range or speed boost never gets old. The graphics tweaks are subtle, but you’ll notice them if you’ve played the original to death. Honestly, it’s the kind of sequel that doesn’t reinvent the wheel, just gives you more track to race on. Still stupidly fun when you’ve got someone to blow up alongside you.
