Classic NES Series: Bomberman on the GBA is basically the same chaotic, grid-based bomb-dropping madness you remember—just now fitting in your pocket. You start in these tight little mazes, placing bombs to blow up walls and trap enemies, but half the time you almost blow yourself up too. The controls are simple (run, drop bomb, panic), but the strategy gets wild when you grab power-ups that extend your blast range or let you kick bombs across the map.
Multiplayer’s where it really shines, though. Four players crammed around a single GBA with the link cable? Pure chaos. Someone always gets boxed in at the worst moment, and the last-second wins feel like dumb luck half the time—but in the best way. The single-player’s fine for practice, but it’s really just a warm-up for the real carnage with friends. The graphics are straight-up NES-era, so don’t expect anything fancy, but that’s part of the charm. If you’ve got a soft spot for old-school competitive games, this one’s still a blast (literally).
