Big Nose Freaks Out is one of those weird, janky NES platformers that somehow sticks with you. You play as this dude with, well, a comically huge nose, jumping around levels that feel like they were designed by someone who had too much coffee. The controls are a little slippery, and the enemies pop up in the dumbest places—but that’s part of the charm.
First few minutes? You’ll probably faceplant into a pit or get smacked by a floating eyeball. But once you get the rhythm of the jumps and figure out which power-ups are actually worth grabbing (hint: avoid the ones that slow you down), it’s oddly satisfying. The music’s got that classic NES chiptune energy, too—catchy in a repetitive, "this is now stuck in my head forever" kind of way.
Definitely not a polished gem, but if you’re into retro games with personality (and questionable hitboxes), it’s a fun little time-waster.
