About B.o.b. (beta)
B.O.B. came out for the Sega Genesis in 1993, developed by Gray Matter and published by Electronic Arts. It was part of that wave of action platformers that filled the library, games where you ran and shot your way through colorful, hazardous levels.
You control B.O.B., a lanky robot with a gun for an arm, navigating a series of side-scrolling stages. Your main goal is simply to survive and reach the exit, fighting off a menagerie of alien creatures. The gameplay hinges on running, jumping, and shooting, but it also involves careful exploration to find keys and hidden power-ups. You collect various weapon upgrades, like spread shots and homing missiles, which are essential for dealing with the increasingly dense enemy patterns.
