About Arthur And The Minimoys
Arthur and the Minimoys came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2006, published by Atari. It was part of that wave of games based on animated films, arriving when the GBA was still a solid platform for portable adventures. You step into the shoes of Arthur, a young boy who shrinks down to enter the hidden world of the Minimoys to find his missing grandfather.
You control Arthur directly, navigating him through a series of interconnected, screen by screen environments. Your main goal is to explore this miniature world, fighting off hostile insects and solving environmental puzzles to progress. The game mixes simple sword combat with some light platforming; you jump across gaps and use your weapon to defeat enemies like beetles and mosquitoes. A key part of the gameplay involves finding specific items or triggering switches to open up new paths, often requiring you to backtrack through earlier areas. The pacing is deliberate, and some sections can be tricky, demanding careful observation of enemy patterns. It feels like a straightforward, compact quest that captures the feeling of being small in a suddenly giant world.
