Arkanoid II is that classic NES brick-breaker where you control a little paddle at the bottom, bouncing a ball to smash through colorful blocks. The Japanese version tweaks some of the level designs—some stages feel way meaner than the original, with sneaky gaps and weird block patterns that’ll catch you off guard.
You start off thinking it’s just more Arkanoid, but then you hit level 5 or 6 and suddenly the game’s throwing curveballs (literally, sometimes). The power-ups help—catch the laser beam or widen your paddle, and you might survive a little longer. The music’s still that same catchy, slightly frantic synth loop, which somehow never gets old.
If you’ve played the first one, this feels like a solid, slightly tougher sequel. If you haven’t, well, good luck with those later stages.
