Arch Rivals on NES is basically basketball if the NBA had zero rules and the ref was legally blind. You spend as much time punching the other guy in the face as you do dribbling—honestly, stealing the ball after decking someone feels way more satisfying than a normal steal. The court’s a mess too, littered with soda cans and candy wrappers that’ll trip you up if you’re not careful. Step on one, and you’re eating floor while the other player swipes the ball.
It’s chaotic, ridiculous, and somehow still feels like basketball—just with way more cheap shots. The lack of fouls means you can go full street brawl mode without consequences. I lost a few games at first because I kept forgetting to punch people. You’ll figure it out.
