After Burst (japan) Game

After Burst is one of those weird little Game Boy action games that feels like it was designed in a hurry—but in a fun way. You control this tiny mech (or maybe it's a robot? Honestly, the sprite's so small it's hard to tell) and just blast through short, chaotic stages. The controls are stiff in that classic early handheld way, but once you get used to it, there's something satisfying about plowing through enemies with your pea-shooter cannon.
First time I played, I died in like 30 seconds because everything moves faster than you'd expect. The music's got that tinny Game Boy charm, all beeps and bloops that somehow make the action feel more intense. Not gonna lie, it's janky, but in that "so bad it's good" zone where you keep playing just to see what weird enemy design pops up next.
If you're into obscure 90s handheld games with more enthusiasm than polish, this one's a weird little time capsule.
