Zone of the Enders: The Fist of Mars is a weird little GBA spinoff that somehow makes tactical turn-based mech combat work on a handheld. Instead of the fast-paced action of the main series, you're moving units on a grid, picking attacks, and praying your positioning doesn’t get your pilots wrecked. The story’s got that classic ZOE melodrama—rebels, shady corporations, and a protagonist who’s way too deep in over their head.
It’s not what you’d expect from a Zone of the Enders game, but the tactical layer actually gives the mechs some weight. Watching your Orbital Frames trade blows in those little GBA battle animations still feels satisfying, even if the sprites are tiny. Just don’t go in expecting ZoE 3.
