Yoshi Topsy-Turvy is one of those weird little GBA games that actually makes you tilt your handheld to play. Yeah, the cartridge had a built-in sensor—so instead of just pressing buttons, you’re physically tipping your Game Boy left or right to move platforms, flip gravity, or even swing Yoshi’s tongue around. It’s gimmicky, but weirdly satisfying once you get the hang of it.
The levels are classic Yoshi platforming—colorful, full of secrets, and packed with those egg-throwing shenanigans. Some stages play it straight, others turn into these wild physics puzzles where tilting the world is the only way forward. It’s not the deepest game in the series, but it’s got charm, and the mechanic still feels fresh compared to most GBA titles. Just don’t play it in a moving car.
