Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island was released for the Game Boy Advance by Nintendo. This one is a conversion of the Super Nintendo game, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

You control Yoshi, carrying a baby Mario on your back. Your main goal is to traverse each level to reunite the baby with his brother, navigating side scrolling stages filled with enemies and platforms. Signature mechanics include Yoshi's flutter jump for extra air and his ability to swallow enemies, turning them into throwable eggs you can aim with a targeting reticle. You also collect stars to maintain a protective bubble around baby Mario; if you get hit, he floats away and you must retrieve him before a timer runs out. The pacing is deliberate, with levels that encourage exploration for hidden items and red coins, and the difficulty can be surprisingly sharp in later worlds. Playing it feels like a careful, tactile puzzle where every jump and thrown egg matters.
